Haha, this sounds somewhat like a line from Bruce Almighty.
Well, let's see. I dislike wars so I'd probably remove alot of the major wars that happen. I wouldn't remove sibling rivalry though, because if you didn't fight with your siblings, there doesn't seem to be much appreciating goin' on. =P
Another thing I would do is to make less people struggle in life and less people be so rich they can't relate to the lesser-off people. I wouldn't want to make everyone so rich they wouldn't know what to do with all that money, since no one would need it. But I think I'd make people less proud and less needy.
And now I have writer's block in answering this question xD

Err...I'd probably invent some sort of TARDIS and chuck one in every house so that there wouldn't be any need for public transport. The TARDIS (I'm going to call it the GOBOOTH) would be free, and it would make for better events, since it would be immediate transport just at the push of a button. xD

Well, let's see.
If I'm allowed to be a mythical creature I would probably choose to be a phoenix - being that they not only can ignite themselves, but they also do not die from lighting themselves on fire. Flying living fireballs, who wouldn't want to be a creature as awesome as the phoenix?

But, if I must be a real creature I would definitely choose the tiger, maybe a Siberian tiger. They're so agile, and they're one of the few cats who don't mind swimming. It's a nice change from what I'm like. They're really elegant in a huge, catlike, powerful way. I've always been fascinated with tigers in themselves, moreso than other big cats. I'd be a female tiger too, since they seem to have a tad more authority. Anyway, the females generally get to choose what to have for dinner. =P

Well, my cat died. We got him from the SPCA, and he was a very sick, very skinny Blue Point Siamese. We took him home and nursed him back to health and he became my cat. Mum warned me not to get too attached to him, but he was the first pet I remember my family having, and we got him when I was 10. Now I'm 16, and we think he was about 13-16 in cat years. It's really hard having a family pet go like that.

So he died in our garage bathroom sometime between yesterday and this morning, when mum put him in there so that he wouldn't stink up the house and annoy everyone with his constant moaning. He hadn't eaten for a week, and getting skinnier and skinnier by the day.

So here's a tribute to my first pet, the most gorgeous blue-pointed Siamese cat that I ever knew. I'll always remember you, Blue, and the way that you always stuck your tongue out at us even in your last days. Rest in peace, you silly cat.

Pictures in Memory

NOT very long at all, really. :B
So he flew into Wellington from Brisbane at half midnight on Friday night/Saturday morning (trying to be PC here) and apparently didn't get affected by jet lag until about 9pm last night. So yah.
I think he's gonna be trying to set up his wireless laptop (might even be stealing mine =[ ) for the next few days, but it's great to have him back.

In other news...I went car-perusing today with Dad...he kept looking at cars he wants for work rather than possible first cars for me. I want a two door, automatic, and fairly cheap to run and maintain for my first car. My brother suggested a Toyota for a student's first car.

We got home as usual, and the minute we walked in the door and closed it, it started raining. I think winter is *finally* setting in, after a long hot summer. Hah.

Nice and short today, I can't think of much else to say.

It's been a while since I've been here.

And I actually joined livejournal in the first place for something to blog on. Otherwise, I regularly find myself ranting at friends and saying things I regret later. At least with online blogging you can think about what you're saying before you press that mysterious button titled SEND.

So what's new?
Not much, actually.
I think I'll begin again, and introduce myself, for anyone who cares.

Hi.
The name's Mandi. Well, actually it's Amanda, but my friends tend to call me some variant of that (EG: Mandy, Mandie, Mandi).
I'm a Christian teenager living in New Zealand, and I have a wonderful family. My three older brothers are all married and two of them have daughters. My dad's a truckie driver slash general contractor and my mum's a gardener and librarian.
How am I?
I'm great.
I enjoy life. I've been told that school is a major part of anyone's life, and so I intend to get as much out of school as I can. I was homeschooled up until 2006 when I began high school.
Sure, there's always dramas within my circle of friends. And because it's high school, they get rather exaggerated. But aside from that, they're a really good bunch and I like hanging out with them.
I take English, Drama, Audio Engineering, Visual Imaging (photography and editing photos), Text Information Management (software side of computers) and Computing (hardware side of computers). I dislike English, but that's only because of various wrist problems that I've had recently. Everything else is great fun, they're the subjects I love taking. I'm so glad I don't have to take Math and Science.

That seems about enough for now.
I might add more information next time, or maybe next time I'll just simply blog.
Ciao.

...So I broke my right wrist last year and ever since then, even if I don't overuse it I get frequent pains in it, often stopping me from using it at all. This is a problem, especially at school with exams coming up, as my writing hand is my right hand. Without a decent amount of support for it (a tightly strapped bandage and often a brace is needed) I cannot write. I may have this for the rest of my life, I don't entirely know at this stage.

Mum took me to the doctor a couple of days ago, and he said I had Chronic Tendonitis in the area around my thumb. He said he could inject cortisone along the tendon, which is a chemical or something already produced in the body but an extra dose might help the area to get stronger. He seemed a little reluctant about the stability of being able to make it stronger with an injection, though. Now, I'm like my dad and both of us generally refuse to take medication or anything along those lines, just letting the body take its natural course. So typically, I'm rather against getting an injection, even if it's something already created in the body.

I'm going to physiotherapy tomorrow (Monday) to get it assessed and treated, but I'm thinking I'll probably have to make it regular.

...Help!

I've been stuck at home for two full days, feeling dizzy and nausious (def. a spelling mistake in there) and having a bung wrist really doesn't help. >.< On the bright side, I borrowed the book Eragon from my friend on Tuesday night meaning to read it and give it back on Saturday. Guess what I read in just over 4 1/2 hours straight yesterday (Wednesday)? It's an good book, but now that I've finished it, means I'll be bugging my friend to borrow the next one in the series. Maybe if I'm staying home tomorrow I could read it. Again. xD

Funny how for one who generally loves reading books, that if you're literally stuck in bed all day alternating between reading and sleeping, how fast you tire of reading. You know, cracking jokes at what the teacher does, doodling, throwing stuff at each other. 'twas lots of fun.

And then in Drama we were reminding each other of various other inside jokes. And cracking up all over again.

So anyhoo, I might finish this later. Gotta go have a family birthday dinner. ^^
